After a good typical Slavonian breakfast, we start our tour
by warming up the legs on a wide smooth track. After a
few kilometers of warming-up, we start the first climb of
about 12 km to the Orthodox monastery of Saint Nikola.
In the monastery, Father Jovan will show us every corner
of the beautiful monument dating from 1579. Then the
ride follows the Iskrica river to its source which is one of
the most beautiful sights of the tour. There we go down a
few miles along an asphalt road to take the track again
and start the climb of about 10 kilometers. We reach the
top and fill the water bottles from the fountain, then we
start the spectacular descent to the quarry of Vetovo.
From there we go by single track to take us to the
vineyards from where we descend to the village where we
will end the first stage.
